We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our medical office by providing essential support to both patients and healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and addressing inquiries.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments while maintaining the office calendar efficiently.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Operate the phone system and handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks using our MedAccess EMR system.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, records, and general inquiries.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in office management practices and administrative tasks.
- Robust multitasking, reliability, and accountability.
- Professional in both communication and appearance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with MedAccess EMR (or other electronic medical record/booking systems) is an asset.
- Familiarity with MedAccess for daily use is required.
- Strong clerical and data entry skills, including document management.
- Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Billing experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate office personnel when necessary.
