Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. We specialize in recycled asphalt driveways, commercial parking lots, excavation, and site preparation.

The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, comfortable working outdoors, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. Previous construction, asphalt, excavation, or landscaping experience is an asset, but we are willing to consider candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Job Duties

- Assist with the installation of recycled asphalt driveways, parking lots, and other surfaces
- Rake, spread, shovel, and level recycled asphalt, gravel, and other aggregates
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, and compaction
- Operate plate compactors, saws, and other hand and power tools
- Assist equipment operators and as required
- Perform hand grading and final cleanup around driveways, parking lots, buildings, and landscaped areas
- Install and adjust drainage materials, culverts, and other site components when required
- Assist with general excavation and landscaping projects
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite




- Perform basic equipment and tool maintenance
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Complete other general labour and construction tasks as required

Requirements

- Previous experience in construction, asphalt, excavation, landscaping, or a related field is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, shovelling, raking, and working on uneven terrain
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a crew
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction workplace
- Must possess a valid Class G driver's licence and maintain reliable personal transportation
- Experience operating skid steers, compactors, or other construction equipment is considered an asset
- AZ or AR-Z licence is considered an asset

Compensation

Pay rate will be based on experience, skills, and ability.
