Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient movement of materials in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, timely shipments, and smooth warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help maintain our reputation for excellence in customer service and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Coordinate the receipt and shipment of materials using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load, unload, pick, pack, and organize inventory.
- Manage order picking, packaging, and labeling processes to prepare products for delivery or storage.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through AS400 or similar systems, conducting regular cycle counts and audits.
- Ensure proper handling of goods during load & unload activities while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations for optimal efficiency.
- Collaborate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries while tracking shipments until completion.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with a focus on shipping & receiving operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, and MRP software.
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating reach trucks or other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, order fulfillment procedures, and packaging standards.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing.
- Prior experience supporting e-commerce order picking, load & unload tasks, or working within quick-paced distribution settings is preferred.
