Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards and are served efficiently. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen's daily operations, maintaining food safety, and delivering excellent food service to our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but a strong passion for food and willingness to learn are equally valued.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring produce and other food items for cooking and presentation
- Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently preparing ingredients for service
- Ensure all food preparation areas are stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients




- Follow instructions from head chefs or kitchen managers to ensure consistency in meal quality

Experience

- Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and basic meal preparation techniques is advantageous
- Experience working in the food industry or a kitchen setting will be beneficial but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is essential for maintaining a safe working workplace
