Safety Program

- Develop and implement policies and procedures that balance needs for safety compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Conduct or oversee incident investigations, Field audits on all Genics crews.
- Point of contact for all OHS or other regulatory audits.
- Manage injury claims and liaise with WCB representatives and Genics Management
- Remain current on all OHS legislation for areas of operation.
- Ensure compliance with governing bodies and up to date documents.
- Track and report on Safety metrics for online profiles (ISN, Avetta, ISO, Etc.)
- Creating innovative approaches for improvement in safety culture
- Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas of all operations of Genics.
- Develop and update HSE manual and communicate changes throughout organization.
- Document all training and ongoing competency reviews.
- Achieve a full Safety recognition for Job development.

Employee Onboarding and Training

- Develop Company orientation materials in collaboration with department leads.




- Facilitate new hire safety orientations and training, oversee visitor tours when required.
- Process incoming employee information, set up recent employee in Genics databases.
- Collaborate with HR and Hiring Manager to facilitate other onboarding activities.
- Provide internal safety training.
- Conduct WHIMIS training for new employees.
- Conduct fit testing for staff when required as part of their duties, retesting for current employees annually and document.

Human Resources

- Work with the HR Department to provide HR support for Operations
- Offer support for employee relations
- Oversee programs that support employees and make sure that the workplace is diverse, fair, respectful and inclusive
- Assist with the hiring process
- Develop and deliver training programs, or contract trainers to do this
- Support management by providing advice on what jobs are needed and how employees can be supported
