Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood educator to join our team in a full-time role combining Pedagogical Lead responsibilities in the morning with School Age programming in the afternoon.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys mentoring educators, supporting high-quality early learning practices, and creating engaging experiences for school-age children.

Schedule

- Morning: Pedagogical Lead responsibilities
- Afternoon: School Age Educator responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Pedagogical Lead (Morning)

- Provide guidance and support to educators in implementing high-quality programming
- Promote play-based, child-centred learning approaches
- Support curriculum planning, observations, documentation, and reflective practice
- Mentor educators and encourage professional development
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Support compliance with childcare licensing standards, CCTB recommendations and centre policies

School Age Educator (Afternoon)

- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities for school-age children
- Mentor and support School Age educators by sharing guidance, resources, and best practices
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for children
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues




- Assist with daily routines, transitions, and program activities

Qualifications

- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent preferred
- member in good standing with the College of ECE's
- 1-3 years experience in a leadership or mentorship role within licensed childcare
- Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum planning, "How does learning happen?" and the "Elect" tools
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of educators with enthusiasm and clear communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to plan, evaluate, and adapt curriculum activities effectively.
- Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and abilities is highly desirable.
- Passionate about fostering a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills.

Pay: $21.02-$23.37 per hour
