MCL Group Ltd. is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic - Contractors Welcome, with on-road and off-road experience. Must have on-road certification and experience with trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair heavy haul trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
- Working with the equipment supervisor & mechanical foreman on various tasks.
- Maintain detailed records and organization plans.
- Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in safe and responsible manner within a designated time-frame.
- Various related duties as required.
- Helping out with pick up trucks and heavy equipment as necessary.
- Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.

Qualifications:

- Must have 3-5 years of experience with highway trucks, trailers, water trucks, fuel and lube trucks and pick up trucks.
- Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic ticket is required.
- On-Road Certification.
- Experience fixing scrapers is an asset.
- Experienced with highway and off highway
- Experience with air conditioning, welding, transmission/engine repair/re-builds, airbrakes.
- Experience with Cat and Komatsu equipment.




- High degree of product and technical knowledge with solid diagnostics capabilities.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- CVIP experience is an asset.
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Dedication to safety.
- You must have your own tools - up to 2 inch.

Work Conditions

- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses, etc.
- Overtime as required.
- Hazards associated with the trade.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
- May be exposed to high levels of noise.
