Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for an opportunity with a leading food manufacturing company in Waterloo? We are currently hiring Slicer Operators to join our Packaging Department. If you have experience operating machinery in a food manufacturing environment, CNC environment, or similar production setting, we want to hear from you!

Available Shifts

Day Shift: 5:00 AM Start
Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM Start

What You'll Do

As a Slicer Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring products are sliced, packaged, and prepared according to company quality and safety standards before shipment to customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, operate, and adjust slicing equipment to meet production and quality standards.
- Load products, monitor machine performance, and perform blade changes and maintenance as required.
- Complete quality checks and ensure compliance with all SOPs, HACCP, GMP, and food safety requirements.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment, mechanical, or product quality issues to leadership.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all health and safety procedures.
- Cross-train on multiple production lines and support other production duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 year Previous machine operating experience in food manufacturing, CNC operation, or a similar production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read, write,



and communicate effectively in English
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Comfortable standing and walking for the majority of the shift
- Ability to repetitively lift and move products weighing 3-20 kg

Assets:

- Food manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of HACCP and GMP standards
- Experience operating slicing, packaging, or automated production equipment

Working Workplace

This role is located within a food manufacturing facility and requires employees to work in:

- Cold temperatures (4°C or lower)
- A fast-paced production environment
- A noisy manufacturing setting
- Conditions involving beef, pork, chicken, and turkey products
- Areas requiring steel-toe boots, hairnet, hearing protection, bump cap, and other PPE
