Cuckoo Cakery is a luxury-yet-approachable cakery cafe focused on craftsmanship, quality ingredients, and thoughtful execution. We're looking for a dependable Kitchen / Pastry Prep Assistant to support our pastry team and help maintain a clean, efficient kitchen.
This is a great entry-level role for someone interested in pastry who is willing to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment.
Duties
- Assist with basic food prep (weighing ingredients, cutting, portioning, simple mixing, and preparing components)
- Support pastry production with simple tasks such as piping, shaping, assembling, and organizing ingredients and components
- Wash dishes, utensils, cake molds, and equipment while maintaining an efficient and organized workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, prep areas, and storage spaces
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Support the team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience is an asset
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative

- Physically able to handle light to moderate lifting
