Job Purpose
The Inventory Specialist ensures accurate inventory by receiving and organizing deliveries, completing counts, and processing transfers or returns. The role supports smooth store operations by maintaining a clean, protected stockroom, reinforcing safety and accuracy, and assisting the team and customers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and organize product deliveries so inventory is accurate and can be stocked quickly, and correctly
- Complete inventory counts and spot checks, and report missing or damaged items
- Track how inventory moves and share feedback with your Store Manager, Assistant Manager and Purchasing (PUR) team
- Suggest clearance ideas or product changes based on storage space or product trends
- Record inventory issues, log discrepancies, and help improve how things are done
- Monitor inventory movement and shelf availability to inform ordering and product flow
- Follow instructions from the Purchasing (PUR) team to process transfers, returns, and adjustments
- Reinforce safety, loss prevention, and operational best practices
- Keep the stockroom and store clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Greet customers with a smile, offer help, and provide personalized support
- Help with cashier duties or assist customers when needed
- Contribute to a positive, fun, and skilled team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

Key Relationships
This person reports directly to the Store Manager
Indirectly reports to:
- Assistant Manager
- Supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in inventory, stock handling and cycle count preferred
- Able to lift boxes and operate stock tools
- Comfortable leading others or working independently
Work Conditions
- FT availability required
- Must be available for opening, closing times, weekends and holidays shifts
- Required for early shifts for deliveries
- Ability to lift and move boxes is required
