Covar Pharmaceuticals provides high-end formulation development contract services for early phase pharmaceutical products with a focus on new chemical entities and novel technologies. We offer pre-formulation, formulation development, analytical development, clinical supply manufacture, and quality/regulatory consulting to Canadian and global clients from our GMP facility in Mississauga, Ontario.
This is a full-time position with a 6 month probation period. Compensation will be offered based on technical capability and industry experience level.
The following considerations will be used to assess ideal candidates for this position:
- Familiarity in operation and set-up of pilot scale process equipment for development studies and GMP batch manufacture, such as tablet presses, granulators, v-blenders, etc.
- Familiarity in operation of test equipment, such as particle size analyzers, sieves, dissolution apparatuses, pH meters, etc.
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following activities:
- Troubleshoot and execute manufacturing processes and process development experiments in support of animal studies, human studies, or process scale up
- Work closely with Pharmaceutical Scientists to coordinate and execute development projects for a wide variety of dosage forms and products
- Complete batch records, protocols, and laboratory notebooks in accordance with Positive Documentation Practices as per FDA and Health Canada cGMPs
Requirements:
- 2+ years of GMP manufacturing experience in an FDA or Health Canada-approved site
- Applicants with only QC/QA experience will not be considered for this position
