Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming shopping workplace. This role offers an opportunity to develop strong communication and sales skills while working in a dynamic retail setting. Bilingual abilities and experience with technology sales or product demos are a plus, enhancing the customer experience and supporting merchandising efforts.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product recommendations, and upselling when appropriate
- Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring all products are properly displayed and stocked as needed
- Conduct product demos and explain features to customers to promote sales of new or featured items
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and ensure smooth checkout processes
- Communicate clearly with customers,



demonstrating strong phone etiquette and organizational skills
- Assist with merchandising tasks to enhance store presentation and promote sales opportunities

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail technology is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated ability to provide friendly, professional customer service
- Experience with upselling techniques and product demonstrations is desirable
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work well within a team
