Duties

- Lead climbing sessions for individuals and groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants
- Teach proper climbing techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use to climbers of varying skill levels
- Monitor participants closely during activities to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to any safety concerns
- Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and inspections to ensure all gear meets safety standards
- Provide explicit instructions and encouragement to motivate climbers and build their confidence in their abilities
- Organize and facilitate beginner workshops, skill-building clinics, or special events related to climbing
- Maintain accurate records of participant progress, safety checks, and incident reports as needed





Qualifications

- Proven experience in teaching or coaching others, ideally in climbing or related physical activities
- Strong knowledge of climbing techniques, safety protocols, and equipment handling
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for promoting health, fitness, and climbing adventure
- Certification in climbing instruction or relevant first aid/CPR training is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Detail oriented and take initiative
- Must be able to comfortably top-rope 5.10- and confidently use both tube-style and assisted-braking belay devices (e.g., GriGri). Lead climbing experience is a major asset.
- Patience, and a knack for explaining physical movements to people of all fitness levels.
