Digital Marketing Coordinator

The Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA) is part of Ontario’s health and safety system, which includes the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD), the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and six health and safety associations. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports IHSA’s Marketing and Communications Department goals by developing and executing data-informed digital strategies across email, web, paid media, SEO, and social media. The incumbent is responsible for building accurate tracking systems, interpreting platform analytics, improving digital campaign performance, optimizing audience targeting, supporting website growth strategies, enhancing user engagement, and delivering strategic insights and recommendations that support organizational goals and enhance public engagement with IHSA's health and safety resources. The Digital Marketing Coordinator reports to the Manager of Marketing and Communications.

SALARY: $79,598.54– $93,610.71

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinates and optimizes digital campaign execution across email, paid media, social media, SEO, and website initiatives by implementing and maintaining UTM tracking systems, campaign reporting to improve attribution accuracy,



campaign performance, audience growth, and digital marketing decision-making across platforms.
- Interprets user behaviour using GA4, Hotjar, SEMrush, Linkedin Campaign Manager, Meta, Hootsuite, and Higher Logic to generate actionable insights, identify audience trends, campaign opportunities, engagement patterns, and performance gaps in collaboration with the Marketing team members.
- Implements improvements to marketing and digital strategy by interpreting platform capabilities, campaign performance, audience behaviour, trends, and leveraging underutilized tools such as, but not limited to, AI, Higher Logic, and GA4.
- Provides strategic recommendations on platform capabilities, campaign optimization opportunities and audience strategies to support the development of effective marketing strategies to improve audience quality to reduce unsubscribes, increase engagement, and meet key performance goals.
- Coordinates with IT and writers as required to support the optimization of IHSA’s website by applying Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices, maintaining keywords and metadata, and identifying opportunities to improve organic search visibility, content discoverability, and user experience.
- Provides digital marketing support by preparing weekly and monthly reports on current initiatives, reviewing campaign performance, and interpreting audience insights, which assist in identifying opportunities for increased engagement, campaign optimization, and digital growth across platforms.
- Prepares and presents strategic reports (i.e., traffic source analysis, campaign summaries, audience insights, paid media performance, and organic search trends optimization recommendations) by reviewing data across platforms and interpreting predictive key trends. Coordinates and optimizes paid media initiatives across Linkedin, Meta, Youtube, and Google platforms with a focus on audience targeting, engagement, conversion, optimization, and cost efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:





- Post-secondary education completion in Digital Marketing and SEO or related field required and minimum of 4 years related experience required.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) required.
- Knowledge of Hotjar, SemRush, Higher Logic, Constant Contact, HubSpot, Linkedin Campaign Manager and Meta Business Suite is considered an asset.
- 75% minimum interview score required for consideration.
