We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and mature Live-In Support Worker to provide one-on-one support for an autistic adult in a private home. This is a full time live-in position that includes overnight supervision and support with daily living activities in a safe, structured, and respectful environment.

Primary Responsibilities

- Provide overnight supervision and ensure the individual’s safety and well-being.
- Assist with morning and evening routines.
- Provide assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living as required.
- Prepare nutritious daily meals and snacks.
- Cook authentic Middle Eastern meals that reflect the individual’s cultural preferences.
- Teach and reinforce spoken and written Arabic through daily conversation, reading, writing, and structured learning activities.
- Assist with reading, recitation, memorization, and the teachings of the Quran as part of the individual’s established daily routine.
- Experience teaching the Quran and reinforcing Islamic values and practices through daily instruction and guidance.
- Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance and support.
- Accompany and support the individual during community outings, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Complete household duties related to the individual’s care, including laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Maintain daily communication logs and report any concerns to the family.

Required Qualifications

- Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Fluent in spoken and written Arabic,



with the ability to read, write, speak, and teach the Arabic language.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Quran and ability to support Quran reading, recitation, memorization, and religious instruction as part of the individual’s daily routine.
- Demonstrated experience preparing authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.
- Experience assisting with dressing, personal care, and daily living activities.
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and able to provide consistent support within a structured environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
