We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Keyholder to support daily retail operations in a rapid-paced cannabis store environment. The Keyholder assists management with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, customer service, and ensuring compliance with all cannabis retail regulations. This role acts as a leader on duty when management is unavailable and helps maintain a welcoming, safe, and compliant shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

- Open and close the store following established procedures
- Perform daily cash counts, deposits, and reconciliation
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Support inventory management, receiving shipments, and restocking products
- Monitor store security and loss prevention procedures
- Assist with visual merchandising and promotional displays

Customer Service

- Deliver exceptional customer experiences through product knowledge and personalized recommendations
- Educate customers on cannabis products, consumption methods, and responsible use within legal guidelines
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with age-verification requirements

Compliance & Safety

- Adhere to all provincial cannabis regulations and company policies




- Maintain accurate records and support compliance audits
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cannabis products

Leadership Support

- Provide direction and support to team members during shifts
- Assist with training new employees
- Communicate operational updates and issues to management
- Help drive store performance and sales goals

Qualifications

- Previous retail experience required; cannabis retail experience preferred
- Prior keyholder, supervisor, or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a regulated retail environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, accessories, and consumption methods
- Experience using POS and inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Sales-focused mindset with a customer-first attitude

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
