Kozak Ukrainian Restaurant is hiring a full-time Line Cook for our Gastown location.

You will prepare and cook menu items during service, assist with daily food preparation and help maintain an organized kitchen. This is a fast-paced position where consistency, speed and teamwork are essential.

Previous professional kitchen experience is an asset, but is not required. We are looking for someone who works quickly, follows instructions, stays organized and enjoys working as part of a team. Training on our recipes, procedures and equipment will be provided on the job.

Schedule and Availability

Full availability is required.

Shifts may include:

- Morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Statutory holidays

Applicants must be available to work any shift based on the kitchen schedule.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and plating standards
- Work across hot, cold and expo stations during service
- Complete daily food preparation to support service
- Set up and organize your workstation before each shift
- Follow recipe quantities, cooking times and food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas
- Communicate shortages,



delays and equipment issues to the kitchen team
- Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned

Requirements

- Full availability for all required shifts
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining consistency and quality
- Ability to follow recipes, procedures and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stay organized while completing multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift items when required, with reasonable accommodation

Previous professional kitchen experience is an asset but is not required.
