We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team at the Vancouver International Airport. The Site Supervisor will play a pivotal role in supervising a team of about 40 employees per shift, maintaining strong client relationships, and leading our operations team to deliver top-tier cleaning services. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, this position offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement within a diverse and growing company.

Main Responsibilities:

- Supervise janitorial and food court staff; assign work by area and shift
- Manage teams of up to 40 employees per shift
- Coordinate schedules, breaks, and coverage for absences and emergencies
- Conduct regular inspections and address issues promptly
- Train staff on safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), janitorial equipment usage, and glass cleaning
- Respond to work orders within required timelines, including spills, incidents, and urgent requests
- Complete incident reports and end-of-shift reports
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC, WHMIS, Health & Safety standards, YVR safety and security requirements, and Transport Canada regulations
- Operate and oversee the use of janitorial machines as required
- Resolve conflicts between janitorial staff efficiently and effectively.
- Perform janitorial duties as necessary in instances of staff shortages.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.




- Comfortable operating small auto-scrubbers and swing machines.
- Stamina to work in a fast-paced workplace.
- Comfortable working in a client-facing role and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience
- Required to pass a background check for airport clearance.
- Required to apply and be eligible for a RAIC and gain full clearance.
- Experience working in a unionized environment
- Ability to operate janitorial machines, including : NaceCare – NX 516, NaceCare – NX 24 and Tennant – T5, T500, T600
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of airport operations and janitorial equipment
- Ability to work 5 days per week Sunday through Thursday from 02:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
