Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time barista with open ability to work at our Niagara on the Lake location. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food preparation, with a keen interest in coffee and beverage crafting. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.

Location

- Balzac's Niagara-on-the-Lake - 223 King Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, dining area, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, ensuring adherence to food handling guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly,



including cash handling and basic math calculations for accurate change.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

- Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
