About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Indigenous Health & Cultural Safety to lead the integration of Indigenous cultural safety and humility across all aspects of the organization. This executive will be responsible for driving meaningful organizational transformation that advances reconciliation and Indigenous health equity, working closely with Indigenous communities, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and government partners.
The role involves influencing policy, culture,
and decision-making to ensure Indigenous perspectives are embedded in the company's operations, and leading initiatives that make food, nutrition, and wellness meaningful expressions of culture, dignity, healing, and belonging.
The ideal candidate for this role at the company will be an accomplished executive with a proven track record in leading complex organizational change, particularly within large, multifaceted environments. They must have a deep understanding of Indigenous health, reconciliation, and cultural safety, and the ability to build authentic relationships with Indigenous communities and partners.
This strategic and cooperative leader will be expected to combine political acuity, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment to inspire others and create lasting change through influence, trust, and accountability. The position is a critical one, with a focus on advancing the company's strategic priorities in service delivery, financial stewardship, community partnership, people, and quality.
