Role Summary

Oliver Wyman helps industry leaders in the technology/software and private equity sectors develop value‑growth strategies, improve operations, and maximize organizational effectiveness. The Consumer, Telco & Technology (CTT) and Private Capital teams seek a Principal to support clients across the deal transaction lifecycle and contribute to partnership‑level engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day‑to‑day leadership of client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process within those relationships, teaming with Partners and sharing responsibility for the success of specific engagements.
- Lead and manage complex programs to ensure on‑time delivery that meets agreed upon goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice and the firm’s technical competence.
- Guide and influence clients in an informed way across all situations, becoming trusted advisors.
- Engage fully in building business by identifying new and expanded opportunities.
- Create exciting and additive intellectual capital through thought leadership, while staying knowledgeable on a broad range of adjacent topics.




- Develop others and build a followership as part of the firm’s asset building.
- Lead firm‑building activities, serve as a role model for firm values, and establish a strong personal brand within and outside the firm.

Desired Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting and/or CMT/TMT industry experience plus Private Capital experience.
- Commercial due diligence expertise.
- Strong background in conceptual problem solving and analytical skills.
- Track record of leading and managing teams and delivering against tight deadlines in rapid‑paced, demanding environments.
- Outstanding communication skills;
confidence in presenting to senior executives.
- Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

Employment Details

Location: San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC.
Employment type: Full‑time.

Salary

The applicable base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $260,000.
