About The Opportunity
A rapidly scaling fintech and payroll services firm operating across North America, we deliver compliant, automated, and real-time payroll, tax, and HR solutions for mid-market and enterprise clients. Our remote-first team builds and manages payroll infrastructure that ensures accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory adherence — empowering businesses to focus on growth while we handle the complexity behind the scenes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process, reconcile, and audit payroll for multiple Canadian jurisdictions — ensuring 100% accuracy and on-time delivery across bi-weekly and monthly cycles.
- Manage employee deductions, garnishments, statutory withholdings, and year-end T4/T4A reporting in compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
- Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies, address employee inquiries, and implement corrections with audit trails.
- Administer payroll system (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, Workday) configurations, user access, and integration with timekeeping and benefits platforms.
- Prepare and submit statutory remittances to CRA, EI, CPP, WSIB, and provincial agencies — maintaining full compliance and audit readiness.
- Document payroll processes, update SOPs, and identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and error risk.
