Summary of Duties The Registered Nurse’s primary focus on B4/B4ICU is the provision of highly skilled patient focused care to respiratory, high intensity and medical patients. Nurses will function collaboratively in a primary nursing environment as part of a professional multidisciplinary patient care team.
In addition to promoting excellence of care the nurse will actively demonstrate effective communication skills, problem solving, conflict resolution and interpersonal/team building skills. The integration of research findings into practice, the pursuit of education opportunities and active participation in unit activities are supported and strongly encouraged.
Qualifications/Skills Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing Current B.C.L.S. B. Sc.N.
preferred Experience in an acute care setting preferred CC 1 required from accredited recognized institution Successful completion of departmental quiz with passing score of minimum 80% Demonstrated commitment to Person-Centred care approaches and principles Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to set priorities in a team-oriented, quick-paced environment Good interpersonal and communication skills Excellent patient assessment skills Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all Commitment to person-centred care concepts principles along with demonstrated ability to work as a member of an inter-professional team Good attendance record
