What will you do? Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role: Manage, train and develop a team of Property Accountants to ensure delivery of valuable customer service is provided to internal and external clients; Initiate, manage and implement process improvements; Manage the full cycle of accounting duties of revenue generating properties within the portfolio; Review monthly, quarterly and yearly processing and reporting of property financials including account reconciliations and recovery analysis, job cost and fixed assets, bank reconciliations and integrity reports; Timely consolidated reporting of NOI variances; Ensure the property budget responsibilities for accounting are on time and accurately executed; co-ordinate with the sites and other departments as necessary; Ensure corporate G&A; fees are properly recorded and variances analyzed; Coordinate year-end audits for common area costs and ensure tenant billings are processed according to standard lease provisions and departmental goals; and Assist property management with tenant account reconciliations.
What type of experience is required? These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table: CPA with at least five (5) years of experience in real estate accounting and reporting; Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; Robust organizational skills and the ability to deliver against tight deadlines; Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power
Point and Outlook; Robust people skills with ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization; Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated written and verbal reports, presentations, and meeting facilitation; and Bonus, if you have experience in the following areas: Experience working in JD Edwards.
