We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead financial operations and provide sound oversight of accounting activities for our construction client in Kingston, Ontario.

This position plays a key role in supporting business decisions through accurate reporting, budgeting, and payroll administration.

The successful candidate will bring robust systems knowledge, a hands-on approach to financial management, and the ability to strengthen reporting processes while maintaining compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with established standards.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that provide transparent insight into organizational performance and support leadership decision-making.

Lead budgeting activities, monitor variances,



and provide analysis to help guide financial planning and resource allocation.

Manage payroll processes and coordinate with relevant systems to ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.

Administer and optimize accounting software and related financial tools to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and internal controls.

Produce customized financial analyses and ad hoc reports to address operational needs and executive requests.

Support the maintenance and improvement of reporting frameworks using tools such as Crystal Reports and other business systems.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align financial information with operational priorities and strengthen overall data accuracy.
