Transportation Planning Engineer – Project Manager Role

On‑site location: Winnipeg, Manitoba. Not remote. We welcome applications from Canada and the United States and offer relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate on projects from data collection and analysis to reporting, supporting technical tasks in‑field and in‑office.
- Apply best practices in active transportation master planning and design, conduct engineering analyses and studies for multi‑modal projects.
- Develop project management skills, preparing for future leadership opportunities.
- Coordinate with a multi‑disciplinary team including transportation/traffic engineers, planners, designers, and landscape architects.
- Prepare and oversee technical memos and reports to communicate results and recommendations influencing project decisions.
- Engage clients and communities through meetings and public consultations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Passion for transportation and designing multi‑modal solutions that improve safety and connectivity.
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Transportation Engineering and a P. Eng license.
- 5–8+ years of experience in transportation engineering and planning, including impact assessments, active infrastructure design, and project management.




- Proficiency with transportation software and methods (e.g., Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, Sidra, VISSIM, VISTRO, Aimsun) and strong technical writing skills.
- Experience in traffic operations and site analysis, with the ability to deliver innovative, data‑driven solutions.
- Collaborative mindset and leadership skills to manage projects and client relationships effectively.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $104,100 – $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 – $124,900
