Equipment Mechanic – Field (Red Seal Required) – $1500 Sign On Bonus Join Altec as an experienced Equipment Mechanic. We are seeking a candidate with a strong mechanical background, experience with electrical and hydraulic components, and the ability to read schematics. Job Details Hourly rate: $34–$50 per hour depending on skills and experience. Job type: Full time with potential overtime. Sign‑on bonus: $1,500 payable after 90 days. Locations: U.S. and Canada. Responsibilities Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components. Utilize technical support resources (operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) to troubleshoot, determine procedures, and identify parts needed for repair. Perform unit condition inspections and reports. Maintain a protected, clean, and orderly work area. Perform all tasks in accordance with Altec safety practices and procedures. Advise supervisors of situations that may impact customer relationships. Provide accurate and sufficient information on all required documents. Demonstrate Altec Company Values. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma, provincially‑approved equivalency, or GED. Red Seal designation. Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills. Physical ability to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling. High dexterity and manual precision. Ability to use basic tools per Altec tool policy. Valid driver’s licence and drive motor vehicles.
