As a vital interprovincial transportation corridor within the National Capital Region, the bridge serves thousands of pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and transit users while forming an integral part of Confederation Boulevard. Having reached the end of its service life, the existing bridge will be replaced with a contemporary, resilient crossing designed to meet the region's long-term transportation needs. supporting economic growth, regional connectivity, and community development while creating opportunities for skilled professionals to contribute to a landmark project that will serve Canadians for generations.About the jobReporting to the AFC Manager with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Project Director, the Cost Control Manager will lead the project’s cost-control activities for the Alexandra Bridge project. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate cost data, monitoring commitments and actual costs, preparing forecasts and cost reports and identifying cost risks, variances and opportunities. Working closely with project controls, procurement, commercial, construction and finance teams, the Cost Control Manager will help ensure the project budget, forecast and estimate at completion remain accurate, transparent and aligned with project objectives.What you'll be doingLead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of project cost-control processes, procedures and reporting standards.Maintain the project cost-control structure, including cost codes, work breakdown structures, control accounts and reporting hierarchies.Prepare monthly and periodic cost reports covering budget, commitments, actual costs, accruals, forecasts, cash flow and estimate at completion.Analyze cost variances, trends and performance against approved budgets and forecasts and clearly communicate key findings to project leadership.Manage the collection, validation and timely input of actual cost, commitment and
