Job Description Position Purpose summary: Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Program Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Concurrent Disorders team. They are also responsible for monitoring employees to ensure that Toronto Harbour Light Ministries (THLM) is achieving and maintaining all targets, benchmarks, and standards of The Salvation Army and our Funders, and completing all required reporting. They support the mission, vision and values of The Salvation Army by providing clinical leadership to Toronto Harbour Light Live in Concurrent Disorder Treatment in accordance with Government contractual agreements and Salvation Army standards. THLM is a 36-bed live in facility for men, located in Toronto, ON. The program also has capacity for up to four Day Treatment clients. Accountabilities Written and Verbal Communication Conduct daily Stand Up Meetings, Case Conferences and other meetings as required Ensure treatment planning, classes, counselling and discharges are delivered according to policy and best practices Working collaboratively with other Directors and Managers to ensure the smooth operation of THLM Supervision Meets one to one with all direct reports monthly Provides feedback on performance, behavior, client work Assists staff with personal goals,



challenges and client work plans Provides supervision to students as required Review with Chaplain elements of Spiritual Care within program Provide oversight of Floor Counsellors and other building staff as it pertains to program related activities Other duties as assigned Reporting Regular reporting to Director of Client Services, Senior Management and funders of program outcomes and service targets Provide attendance, training and other reports to Director of Client Services Ensure compliance with Personal Health Information Protection Act requirements Provide support and serve on Health and Safety Committee, providing reports to THLM Property Manager Administration Ensure all performance, quality and financial targets are achieved and maintained Ensure all potential clients are appropriately screened per policy Ensure all documentation and waiting lists for potential and current clients are maintained in EMHware Develop program outcomes and service targets, with Director, as required Participate in development of Strategic Planning, as required Understand funding agreements and ensure compliance Work with Human Relations on hiring, employee paperwork, training and other Critical Relationship Management Governance Boards and Councils: None Internal Director of Client Services Human Relations Business Manager Assistant Executive Director Executive Director Property and other THQ departments External Clients Committees Vendors Allied foundations, programs, and communities Managerial/Technical Leadership Responsibility Reports directly to: Director of Client Services Direct reports for this position: Intake & Assessment Worker, Counsellors (6), Nurse, and Floor Counsellors (12) Financial and Materials Management To ensure program expenditures are within the budget Working with Director of Client Services and Business Manager, works within program budgets for supplies, trainings, conferences and other expenditures Works with staff at each location, to ensure health and safety of direct reports Review and update as necessary program policies and procedures Working Conditions Typical office conditions, must be able to sit for long periods of time, use computer and office phone Possible typical office hazards such as intense overhead lighting,



eye straining and wrist strain Possible interactions with clients and/or hazardous substances, use of gloves and proper disposal required Little to no travel, less than 10% of the time The above responsibilities must be performed in keeping with The Salvation Army’s Mission, Vision and Values, in a skilled manner, upholding our code of conduct. Education and Experience Qualifications Education, Qualifications and Certifications A Graduate level Social Services Related Degree or Diploma – or combination of education and experience Member of Professional College or ability to become a member (i.E. CRPO, OCSWSSW) French language skills or bilingual strongly preferred NVCI training, valid CPR/First Aid preferred Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements Three years of related experience in live in treatment setting Knowledge and experience in Addictions, Concurrent Disorders and Trauma informed practices 2 years of supervisory experience Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and other computer applications and data entry systems. Experience with EMHware and Workday an asset Other special certifications (e.G. CBT, DBT) in relevant disciplines an asset Skills and Capabilities Attention to detail, problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills Strong sense of integrity, confidentiality, professional ethics and a balance between fairness and flexibility Ability to provide clear Vulnerable Sector Check Able to be a team player, work well with all staff and Directors, on and off site Rational and calm demeanor, able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines at once Vulnerable Sector Check: an original copy of a current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) that is less than six (6) months old is required by your start date, and the results of the check must be acceptable to The Salvation Army in its sole discretion. The cost of the VSC is borne by the employee. Compensation The target hiring range for this position is $66,831.48 to $83,539.35 with a maximum of $100,247.22. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
