Overview

The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board is seeking high-performing candidates to join its Professional Standards team, one of the most critical functions within the organization.

This role provides direct exposure to:

- Regulatory compliance and enforcement
- Administrative law processes
- Professional discipline and dispute resolution
- Governance and policy application within a large, complex organization

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced professionals responsible for addressing member-to-member disputes, professional standards infractions, and maintaining the integrity of one of North America’s largest Multiple Listing Services (MLS®), supporting over 70,000 REALTORS® across the Greater Toronto Area.

What You’ll Work On

This is not a passive placement as candidates will be embedded in real workflows and contribute meaningfully to active files.

Investigations & Case Support

- Assist in reviewing and organizing complaint files related to Member conduct
- Support investigations by compiling, analyzing, and structuring evidence, documentation, and timelines
- Conduct research on applicable rules, policies, and regulatory frameworks to inform case assessments

Hearings & Dispute Resolution (Elevated)

- Support the preparation of materials for Arbitration and Professional Standards Hearings including Allegation Statements
- Attend hearings and assist in documenting proceedings and preparing structured summaries of Hearing Panel decisions
- Present case materials on behalf of the organization in discipline matters, as appropriate
- Coordinate hearing panels, including scheduling,



logistics, and comprehensive case file preparation

Regulatory & Policy Application

- Apply TRREB By-Laws and Policies, MLS® Rules, and qualified standards frameworks to real-world scenarios
- Assist in interpreting regulatory requirements from bodies such as the Real Estate Council of Ontario and Canadian Real Estate Association
- Support the development of internal guidance and responses to Member inquiries

Data, Reporting & Insights

- Maintain and organize compliance and case data in a structured and accurate manner
- Support the preparation of reports for senior leadership and Board-level review
- Identify trends and insights related to complaints, compliance issues, and MLS® data quality

Operational & Strategic Projects

- Assist in documenting procedures and improving internal workflows and processes
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of training materials and process manuals
- Support special projects related to governance, compliance modernization, and policy updates
