In this role, you will be responsible for managing engineering and construction survey projects. The successful candidate will have robust communication and organizational skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.Why go north? Hike, fish, ski, golf, canoe, camp, mountain bike, sled, trail run or hunt- this region offers it all!This role is designated as a safety sensitive position.What You’ll Be DoingLiaising with both internal (McElhanney) and external Project Managers and clientsManaging various survey project types including infrastructure, topographic, engineering and constructionEstablish project scope, budget and schedule, and other project or client expectationsPreparation of proposals,
technical reports and documents.Leading survey crews on projects; communicating scope andscheduling information to crew membersManaging project budgets and financial reportingManaging information flow from field to final deliverablesInterpret Engineering plans for layout and quantities as well as quality assurance checksEnsuring quality assurance procedures are carried out for proposals, field returns, drawings, plans, documents, and other deliverablesOther duties as required.What You’ll BringDegree or technical diploma in Geomatics with at least 3 years of progressive experience in a survey project management role; experience in engineering and construction surveys is a strong assetExperience with AutoCAD, survey computation software and Trimble Business CenterExperience with Civil 3D is an assetExperience with UAV (Drone) or Terrestrial Laser Scanners is an assetKnowledge of survey calculations, geodetic coordinate systems and map projectionsStrong communication, leadership, and motivational skillsA motivating and engaging energy with demonstrated strength in leading highly complex groupsAn excellent written and verbal communicator with interpersonal and relationship management skills.Results oriented individual, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelinesValid driver’s licenseWhat Can We Offer You?The salary range for this position is $ 78,000- $110,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications.
The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting.
