Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people‑centered approach in a 24‑bed Personal Care Home. The LPN works to full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency congruent with Southern Health‑Sante Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba, the Code of Ethics, and the Regulated Health Professions Act.
The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and actions to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health‑Sante Sud and Rock Lake Health District.
Experience
Preference given to applicants with recent personal care home experience (within 2 years).
Certification / Licensure / Registration
- Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professionals Act (RHPA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Qualifications and Skills

- Proficiency of both official languages (Bilingual support) for designated bilingual positions.
- Ability to respect confidentiality across paper, electronic, and other mediums.
- Good work and attendance record.

- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
- No hazardous or significantly unpleased conditions.
Other Requirements
Shift work – Days and Evenings; overtime and pick‑up of additional D/E/N shifts are available.
