Production Program Manager (PPM) Safran Landing Systems is the world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems. Reference number: Job Title: Production Program Manager (PPM) Employment type: Permanent, Full‑time Domain: Production Job field / Profile: Program and project management office – PMO‑operations Job location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (North America) Responsibilities Reporting to the B787 Global PPM Senior Manager, the PPM acts as the industrial focal point between the Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Operations, responsible for continuous improvement of structural industrial performance (delivery, quality) and for managing costs of the production scope of work for its programs. The PPM can temporarily become the coordinator of the recovery plan in support of the execution functions. Collect, consolidate & assess risks and develop & evaluate risk mitigation plans. Manage monthly OvRMs during transfers (internal & external). Ensure recovery action plans are consistent and robust in case of non‑performance. Verify manufacturing and assembly plans align with rules to protect the program. Source proposals/arbitration for buffering policy adjustments (buffer stock, buffer time, production plan buffer target). Propose evolutions to the Industrial Scheme based on performance & risks. Describe the Program Industrial Scheme. Analyze performance of the Industrial Scheme. Propose evolutions in alignment with Industrial and Purchasing strategies. Represent industrial voice at supplier selections.
Coordinate protection plans to high & low scenarios & associated Customer Logistics Conditions. Lead WHAT‑IF scenario assessments. Coordinate with Spare PPM for spare & dual parts. Escalate industrial blockers to the IPT when support from other functions is needed. Cascade IPT requirements impacting industrial operations. Act as industrial focal point with the Customer as required by programs. Prioritize industrial global critical activities within the IPT, validate design changes on behalf of Operations. Participate in MTP preparation & consolidation, framing budgets, defining vision of the Industrial Scheme evolution. Consolidate RTDI & rechargeable NRC budgets for production. Consolidate cost‑saving actions for MAKE parts and promote industrial teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities. Propose Industrial Scheme evolutions considering cost impacts. In case of escalation for customer impact, the PPM supports the execution functions to restore program performance by setting, agreeing on, working through, and concluding the recovery plan. Qualifications and Experience College diploma or university degree preferably in Engineering and/or Operations Management. Project Management Designation (PMP) highly desirable. 3+ years in Project/Program Management. Experience working with external customers. Positive understanding of Supply Chain (MRP) and some Engineering principles. 2+ years of proven management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Bilingual would be an asset.
