Premier Environmental Services is currently seeking a Senior Engagement Consultant to join our Strategic Sustainable Solutions team. Premier’s Strategic Sustainable Solutions team works with organizations to enhance the workplace experience by developing and executing sustainability and wellness programs and initiatives. The team offers a range of consulting services from sustainability marketing and communications, to project management for building Certifications.
This position will be client-facing and will require project management of large projects and events, on-site event management and execution, development and design of communications (graphic and written), proposal writing, facilitation of presentations, and business development. This hybrid role will require weekly attendance at the Premier Cambridge Office and regular visits to client sites in downtown Toronto, balanced with remote work. Knowledge and experience related to sustainability, building operations, building certifications (WELL, BOMA, LEED) and workplace wellness is an asset. This position is best suited for an individual with a dynamic skillset, a proactive approach, strong project management skills, a creative/ entrepreneurial mindset, and an eagerness to learn recent subject matter.
The Senior Engagement Consultant position will be a part of a small team of sustainability consultants. The role is intended to support the execution of existing client projects and contribute to the successful growth of the team moving forward. Due to the small size of the team and the vast range of services offered, this role is ideal for an individual who is eager to continuously grow, learn, and make a positive impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal
- Participate in bi-weekly team meetings, and weekly company-wide project management meetings, presenting updates on projects and business development efforts
- Have an interest in the greater company’s success beyond just the sustainability team and have a willingness to support other organizational pursuits and projects, including internal marketing and business development efforts, social events, and supporting project teams on other service lines as needed (including phase 1 and phase 2 ESA’s, and data reporting). Previous training and experience in these areas is an asset, though not required. A willingness to learn and participate in trainings to support business lines as needed is required.
External
- Prepare for, and facilitate regular project updates and project management calls with clients and client stakeholders (including property owners, property managers, sustainability leads, building operations teams, client consultants, vendors, and service providers)
- Coordinate, manage, and facilitate events, workshops, classes, lunch & learns, and annual/ bi-annual stakeholder meetings, including coordination with external vendors and clients and on-site support (set-up, photography, managing participants)
- Develop and deliver presentations to large groups as required, presenting on subject matter such as waste reduction, building certifications, sustainable building operations, etc.
- Manage large multifaceted projects, including stakeholder engagement, development and maintenance of project management tools and resources, delegation of tasks to project stakeholders, maintaining project timelines, information gathering and evaluation, writing and developing executive-level project reports, and managing client expectations
- Work alongside team members to brainstorm and develop solutions, services and new project opportunities to manage and meet client needs and challenges, including development of slide decks,
presentation of ideas, development of proposals and facilitation of strategy sessions
- Manage and maintain client and stakeholder relationships, including regular communication and in-person meetings
- Develop new industry connections and relationships, establishing new opportunities for projects and partnerships
- Conceptualize ideas and develop both graphic and written materials for clients’ sustainability and wellness programs, such as behavioural posters and infographics, informational toolkits, social media copy, and app content
- Other duties as assigned/required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Marketing, Sustainability or a related field
- General knowledge of sustainable real estate and healthy building practices, WELL & LEED Certification, and behaviour change
- WELL AP, LEED GA designations are an asset
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills with a strong work ethic
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Digital marketing/ graphic design skills and proficiency with Creative Cloud, namely InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Experience in the commercial real estate, sustainability, or wellness industry is an asset
- Fluent in both French and English is an asset
Position Type: Full Time, Permanent Position
Location: Position requires 1 day/ week at Premier’s Cambridge office, and regular travel to clients’ properties across Toronto. Occasional travel outside the GTA & Cambridge may be required.
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000
Compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
