We play a key role in building and enhancing infrastructure across Canada, the U.S., and expanding internationally, improving everyday life through roads, bridges, tunnels,



transit systems, airports, ports, highways, and large‑scale site development.

What You’ll Do Here

Accountable for ensuring all construction project management activities are successfully executed.

Transition to construction, monitoring construction infrastructure and critical path.

Establishing and maintaining project budget.

Enforcing change procedures.

Establishing schedule and staffing plans.

Negotiating and executing contracts and agreements in a timely and cost‑effective manner.

Chairing project management meetings with a focus on the best outcomes for Aecon.

Ensuring all project reporting is accurate and timely.

Overseeing testing, quality, and safety.

Managing client and vendor relationships.

Logging and managing project risks and issues.

Ensuring all project close‑out activities are completed in a timely manner.

Demonstrating commercial acumen to protect profits and improve margins.

Engaging in business development, including participation in costing and estimating activities and risk analysis.

Contributing to financial forecasting and revenue target creation.

Overseeing procurement including materials and subcontractors.

What You Bring To The Team

Post‑secondary education in engineering, construction management,



or an equivalent discipline.

5–10 years of track construction experience from site‑based roles.

Experience in managing small teams and subcontractors.

Experience performing risk assessments, including mitigating risks in design.

Demonstrated ability to break down and plan large / complex construction stages.

General knowledge of Track and heavy civil construction methods.

Deep technical project management expertise and understanding of regulatory requirements in one or more of Aecon’s operating markets (Heavy Civil, Utilities, Rail).

P.Eng designation is considered an asset.
