OVERVIEWWe are seeking an experiencedSpecialized Senior Developerto support large-scale application development initiatives withinCommercial Banking Technology, specifically supportingTreasury & Payment Services (TPS)applications. The successful candidate will play a dual role as a hands-on senior developer and technical lead, driving both back-end and front-end development while coordinating with offshore delivery teams.This role is ideal for a highly skilled, proactive professional with deep experience in modern application development, cloud platforms, and relational databases, who is comfortable leading delivery while remaining heavily involved in coding and solution design.Location:Toronto, ON (Hybrid – minimum 2 days in office; may increase to 3–4 days)Contract Length:Feb 16, 2026 – Oct 31, 2026 (Extension Possible)Hours:9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (7.5 hours/day)Pay Rate: T4: 81/h IC 93/hRESPONSIBILITIESDrive the end-to-end software development lifecycle by working closely with business partners, technology teams, and offshore developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.Translate business and user requirements into detailed technical specifications and solution designs.Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and document software across the full SDLC.Write high-quality, maintainable code aligned with security, performance, logging, and error-handling standards.Lead development efforts across both back-end and front-end technologies (approximately 80% hands-on development, 20% technical leadership).Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault resolution for core system components.Support system and application design decisions, including security and non-functional requirements.Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their impact on systems, data, processes,



and risk.Follow release management standards, version control practices, and deployment procedures.Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical guidance to stakeholders.Coordinate and lead offshore development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.Participate in in-person collaboration by attending the office at least twice per week (subject to change).QUALIFICATIONSRequired8+ years of professional software development experience, preferably within banking or financial services.Strong hands-on expertise inone of the following technology stacks :Java + AWSAngular + AWS5+ years of experience leading development teams or acting as a technical lead.5+ years of experience working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proven ability to lead projects involving both front-end and back-end development.Experience working with and leading offshore development teams.Ability and willingness to work in a hybrid model with in-office presence.Nice to HaveExperience with Python.Additional banking or financial services domain experience.NOTES FOR APPLICANTSThis role is part of an Application Software Development initiative and requires time tracking against project spend.Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs.Candidates should be comfortable working in a collaborative team workplace with both onshore and offshore resources.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
