Work Model: Head office based, with the option to work from home one day per week after probation
Compensation: $95,000-$110,000 base salary + up to 10% bonus

About the Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and being part of a stable, growing business. It’s a newly created role due to continued growth and recent acquisitions. This role is ideal for someone who loves leading and coaching a team while supporting month-end close, and helping improve consistency, structure, and reporting quality across the function.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A;, you will oversee the accounting function for a key business unit and provide leadership to the accounting team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and reviewing the month-end close process
- Reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Preparing and reviewing working papers
- Supporting the upload and review of financial statements and reporting packages
- Reviewing sales tax requirements
- Preparing quarterly reporting
- Assisting with external financial statements
- Supporting the year-end audit process
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of accounting members
- Helping create consistency and stronger reporting processes as the business continues to grow
Who You Are
You are a strong accountant who enjoys both the technical and people side of accounting.
You’re comfortable working in a more complex environment and take pride in helping your team succeed.
You bring:
- A CPA designation and post-secondary education in a relevant field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; leasing, equipment finance, real estate, or asset-based industry preferred with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity leading a team
- Experience in a complex, multi-entity, or consolidation environment would be a strong asset
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and advanced ERP experience
- A collaborative leadership style and genuine interest in mentoring others
- A steady, practical approach to improving processes and supporting business growth
