What is the Opportunity?

As CAE transforms itself to become data and analytics driven, it becomes essential to govern and manage data so it works optimally for the group. This role will lead the execution and evolution of a comprehensive audit data management and governance framework ensuring data quality, security, compliance, and accessibility of data across CAE.

What will you do?

- Develop strategies and processes for data implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery. Lead Data Governance at CAE through assessment and mitigation of CAE data‑related risks and data controls to drive alignment, consistency and implementation of enterprise data policies while balancing with business requirements.
- Lead and provide critical support to the implementation and maturity of RBC’s Enterprise Data Policy through the development of data domains for key audit processes. Define and adjust the operating model for data quality and issue management at CAE; including road‑mapping, benchmarking, reporting and insights over time.
- Provide a center of excellence and advocate for data management best practices for all data and analytics products at CAE, including subject‑matter expertise on data definitions, prioritization and standard of care implementation.
- Ensure appropriate maintenance, security, integrity and access to all organizational data. Direct development of strategies for data implementation and acquisition, and lead inventory and prioritization of data‑related initiatives.
- Perform data steward duties including managing data sharing, role‑based access, domain dictionary, quality control, metadata, lineage, and retention. Collaborate with IA audit platforms,



methodology and learning groups to ensure governance requirements are incorporated.
- Communicate and collaborate with Enterprise data‑policy teams (Info Sec, Privacy, Compliance, CDO) to assess IA data risks and manage remediation, ensuring activities would pass auditor or regulatory review.

What do you need to succeed?

- Analytical and growth mindset with balanced decision‑making; creativity with pragmatism, agility with control.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in data management, client management, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL and data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau or Streamlit.
- Strong knowledge of RBC enterprise data and security policies and IT governance, risk management, and compliance platforms.
- People‑management experience working with diverse teams in IA, cyber security, data stewards, DBAs, risk, and multiple business lines.
