We are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of a complex legacy modernization / migration program under a fixed-fee commercial construct. This role owns end-to-end execution — scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder outcomes — while driving strong governance, risk management, and measurable delivery performance. You’ll partner closely with client leadership, architects, engineering leads, and vendors to deliver migration outcomes safely, predictably, and transparently. Req.# Responsibilities Own contracted scope delivery with rigorous control of change requests, assumptions, dependencies, and acceptance criteria Establish and run delivery governance (status, RAID, scope control, financial tracking, milestone management) Maintain earned value / burn-up / burn-down style tracking to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes Drive outcome-based reporting: progress by completed deliverables, acceptance, and business readiness — not just activity Lead delivery across modernization tracks such as assessment, reverse engineering, remediation, data migration, interface modernization, testing, cutover, and hypercare Coordinate cross-functional teams for application, data, infrastructure, security, and operations workstreams Ensure migration plans address non-functional requirements: performance, resilience, security, compliance, and observability Plan and execute cutover strategy (runbooks, rollback, parallel run, readiness gates, weekend execution, hypercare) Serve as the primary delivery interface with client sponsors, product owners, and technical leaders Translate complex migration progress and risks into clear executive narratives Manage vendor/partner relationships and align multiple teams to a shared delivery plan Proactively manage RAID with clear mitigation actions, owners, and dates Enforce Definition of Done, quality gates, and test completeness across SIT/UAT/performance/security testing Ensure delivery compliance with SDLC, change management, and release governance Lead and coach delivery managers,
scrum masters, and workstream leads; build high-performing teams Drive continuous improvement for predictability, throughput, defect reduction, and cycle time Support presales and delivery shaping: estimations, WBS, milestones, staffing plan, and delivery approach Requirements 10+ years in IT delivery/program management, including enterprise-scale migration/modernization Proven track record delivering under fixed-fee / outcome-based commercial models with strong scope control Solid experience with legacy modernization (e.G., mainframe, COBOL, PL/I, DB2, monolith to microservices, replatform/refactor, or similar) Deep expertise in stakeholder management, executive communication, and governance Strong command of delivery metrics: schedule variance, budget variance, milestone health, defect leakage, test coverage, readiness gates Experience leading distributed teams and working across time zones Nice to have Experience with cloud migration (AWS/Azure/GCP), hybrid architectures, and platform modernization Familiarity with modernization patterns (e.G., Strangler, Branch-by-Abstraction, event interception, read replicas) Knowledge of tooling for migration and engineering productivity (e.G., CI/CD, automated testing, observability, static analysis, code intelligence) Certifications: PMP, SAFe, Scrum, ITIL (any relevant) We offer Extended Healthcare with Prescription Drugs, Dental and Vision, and Healthcare Spending Account (Company Paid) Life and AD&D Insurance (Company Paid) Employee Assistance Program (Company Paid) Short-term Disability (Company Paid) Long-Term Disability Paid Time Off (including vacation and sick days)
