Title: Engineering Specialist - Direct Hire
Location: South Guelph, ON
Wage: $85,000 annually
Shift: Days (Hybrid)
We are seeking a skilled Structural Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team. This direct hire role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional with experience in structural analysis mechanical design, and engineered solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, review, and development of structural and mechanical components while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
Job Description
- Provide HVAC design and calculations for air structures
- Develop preliminary designs of foundation and the superstructure
- Prepare specs and the selection for HVAC equipment and materials
- Process/design improvements / efficiencies of structures
- Support external Structural P Eng for review and seal
- Work with sales, manufacturing and service teams to resolve related issues
- Use of AutoCAD and 3D Modelling
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years in a Structural engineering role
- No P Eng required, however ability to pursue is an asset and supported
- Post secondary Engineering education. Preferably in structural engineering
- Working knowledge of Canadian energy codes Standards and Canadian policies - both provincial and national
- AutoCAD with 3D modelling an asset
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organization and attention to detail
