Spring Living Retirement Communities is a boutique, rapidly growing Canadian senior‑living owner/operator headquartered in Canada. The company owns and operates retirement communities in Ontario and Quebec and is expanding through acquisition of mid‑market residences across Canada over the next five years.

Spring Living’s mission is to create warm, welcoming and secure environments for residents, foster caring connections, and provide personalized services by a committed team. The company is part of the BAZ group, a real‑estate firm that acquires, develops, constructs and repositions assets throughout North America.
JOB OVERVIEW
Reports to: Regional Director of Operations. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation of the retirement residence, including resident care, programs, services, environmental coordination and fiscal performance. The role ensures a safe, secure workplace and maintains senior satisfaction.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Resident Relations: ensure safe, secure environment; comply with legislation; plan and evaluate care, meals, recreation and response to resident concerns.
- Leadership: develop programs and policies for recruitment, orientation and education; motivate staff; represent management at council meetings.
- Budget & Financial: assist with operating and capital budgets; prepare variance reports; manage payroll, petty cash, capital purchases and maintenance documentation.
- Marketing & Occupancy: implement corporate sales programs; communicate with residents and families; collaborate on strategic sales plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: enforce health and safety policies; report hazards; maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Operational & Administrative Systems: schedule staff, conduct hiring, implement performance appraisals, manage disciplinary actions, maintain inventory and infection control procedures.
- Other duties: oversee maintenance, implement policies, pursue continuing education, and perform related tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in retirement or hospitality industry.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated marketing, financial planning and interpersonal skills.
- Post‑secondary certificate, diploma or degree in nursing, social work, gerontology, hospitality or business.
- Effective written and verbal communication; self‑directed; accountable; problem solver.
- Wears personal protective equipment as required; prepared to respond to emergencies.
- Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Persons Check.
PAY
From CA$85,000.00 per year
