Location: AHC Rehabilitation - White Oak Medical Center

Overview

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Physical Therapist for our Outpatient Rehabilitation Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Qualified candidates will be eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus. Current AHC employees not eligible.

Responsibilities

- Perform initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment/diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care before intervention for all patients with basic rehabilitation needs in acute, outpatient, or inpatient settings.
- Provide, or direct and supervise, therapy intervention consistent with the examination results. Involve patient/client and appropriate others in planning, implementation, and assessment. Reexamine as necessary during episode of care to evaluate progress and modify plan or discontinue services.
- Plan discharge of patient/client with appropriate disciplines, considering achievement of anticipated goals and expected outcomes, and provide for appropriate follow‑up or referral. Discontinue intervention when patient cannot progress toward goals or no longer benefits from therapy, coordinating with the referring provider/team when indicated.
- Communicate, coordinate, and document all aspects of patient/client management including exam results, diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care, interventions, response, barriers, changes, reexamination, discharge/discontinuation, and other management activities with the care team as indicated. Supervise and direct patient care activities of assigned rehab aides, office assistants, and volunteers.
- Manage schedule to accommodate census and patient load and inform management of any issues with caseload management.




- Attend team meetings and effectively communicate patient status using medical records or other treating therapists to ensure sufficient knowledge of the case.
- Be responsible for individual professional development activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Outpatient Rehab setting preferred.
- Active Maryland PT License.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Work Schedule

- Employment Type: Full Time
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Typical Daily Schedule: Shifts ranging from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Shift Type: Day
- Compensation: Eligible for Sign on Bonus $10,000 over 3 installments (paid at 90 days, 1 year, & 2 years of hire). Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign‑on bonus and employees that terminated AHC are not eligible prior to six months of returning.

Pay Range

$25.63 - $55.76

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Position is classified as Non‑Exempt.

COVID‑19 Vaccination
