We seek an individual who has a diverse knowledge set and is interested in being a part of a small and growing team. Reporting to the President, the Director of Finance is fully accountable for day‐to‐day financial operations including, but not limited to, budgeting, payroll, receivables and payables, banking, reporting, audits, and benefits and pension administration.The Director of Finance also monitors the University's accounts, investments, and endowment, and supports the work of the Investment Committee, Finance and Audit Committee, and Board of Governors. This role works closely with university leadership,



faculty and staff, and external partners, and represents the university at required meetings.Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a self‐starter who has the following education, experience, and competencies:A bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalentA CPA designation with extensive knowledge of current accounting practices, such as GAAPA minimum of 4-5 years of experience in an accounting‐based positionProficiency with various accounting and payroll softwareProficiency with endowments, charitable donations and tax‐receipts, and gifts-in‐kindKnowledge of group benefit plans and pensionsA track record in reducing costs, improving internal controls, and mitigating riskExceptional written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ZoomA strong work ethic along with punctuality, promptness, and reliabilityAn ability to multitask and organize several projects at one timeA close attention to detail, accuracy, and financial transparency, particularly with the CRAAn ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a teamExperience with successful fundraising, granting agencies,
