We are currently seeking aProject Coordinatorto join ourBuilding Restoration Divisionto work out of ourBurlington, Kitchener and Torontooffice.MTE Consultants is a multidisciplinary engineering firm that has been shaping Ontario since 1985 with offices in Kitchener, Burlington, Toronto, London and Stratford. We collaborate with clients to enhance the communities where our friends, families, and neighbours live and work.ResponsibilitiesWork within a project team to deliver top quality structural rehabilitation and building envelope restoration projects to clientsAssist with building investigations, contributing to the field evaluations as well as technical writing, preparation of quantities, and budget estimatesUndertake site reviews of construction projects to help monitor conformance with specifications, quality of workmanship, budget, and scheduleAssist with the tendering process, preparing tender notifications, attending tender meetings, preparing bid summary and recommendations; Help with preparing specifications, including editing technical sections and working with CAD staff to sketch detailsAssist with administering construction contracts, including preparing CCDC contracts, preparing payment certificates,



change orders, certificates for substantial performance, building permit applicationsLiaise with contractors, clients, and manufacturers to assist with responding to project related inquiriesParticipate in project meetings with clients and contractors and contribute to presentations and prepare meeting minutesContribute to development of internal practice systems within the Building Restoration groupParticipate and contribute to internal and external technical training sessionsTravel to project sites across southwestern Ontario is required. Mileage will be reimbursed for work related travelOther duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with specialization in Building Science being an asset0-3 years of related work experience (including co‑op experience)Experience with AutoCAD or hydrothermal modeling programs (WUFI/Therm) are an asset, but not requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skillsExcellent multi‑tasking skills and adaptability to shifting prioritiesStrong organizational skillsA team player approach to problem solvingExperience working at heightsCandidate will be required to work from suspended work platforms and lifts from time to timeRequired to have access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license for travel to project sites.
