LOCATION: 130 King Street West, Toronto, ON

SALARY: $36.25 per hour; full-time position (40 hours/week)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Oversee, organize, plan and control the operation of the catering business
• Experience working with marketing team to expand catering menus, provide sample products at meetings with clients to grow the business
• Understand specific customer needs according to food allergies and sensitivity and provide options
• Develop menus in collaboration with the barista and franchisor, considering factors such as the type of event and the client’s budget
• Organize and supervise the work of the catering team to ensure that food and beverages are prepared and served in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and other food and beverage preparation areas
• Control budgets and minimize expenditure by efficiently managing resources
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly
• Establish relationships with vendors and negotiating contracts for beverages, food and other supplies
• Conducting regular inventory checks and ordering supplies as necessary

train, and supervise staff to provide high-quality service

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 3 years of café restaurant management experience
• Knowledge of Toronto Public Health compliance for off-site beverage and food service, including safe transport, temperature control, and in office setup standards
• Experience with live coffee and tea station set-ups which includes set-up of espresso machines at venues for live service
• Experience with seasonal coffee/tea/beverage catering events with customized menu options
• Experience with espresso recipe dialing, including dose, yield, time, and adjusting for on-site variables (water quality, grinder fluctuations)
• Experience with signage and menu creation based on client needs
• Required to travel to client locations and work with them to prep the site technically with electrical and plumbing requirements
