This includes financial statement preparation, quarterly Board reporting, preparing for financial statement audits, transfer pricing and intercompany transactions,
general ledger maintenance and reconciliations. This position would play a lead role in budget and forecast preparation, be involved in various new and ongoing projects and recommend efficiencies. In addition, this role will assist in the preparation and review of the financial statements when necessary.WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReporting:Creation of monthly reports including forecasting, cash flow statements and balance sheetsDevelopment and documentation of processes and procedures ensuring financial controls are in place for the organizationInvolvement in preparing presentations to the Board MeetingConduct variance analysis and participation in valuation exercises for the subsidiariesAccomplishes finance and organizational mission by completing related results as neededStrengthen governance across all aspects of financial reportingProduce detailed monthly statements for each department, along with a consolidated income statement and balance sheetPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesResolve late entries, exceptions and other closing issuesLead the interim and year-end audits (i.E. preparation of financial statements and working papers) and liaise with the external financial statement AuditorPrepare standardized supporting documents to support amounts and disclosures reflected on financial statementsSupport corporate tax, HST/GST filings with accurate schedules and documentationProjects:Migration of the financial data into Epicor from other accounting systemsTest and verify correct financial data within Epicor after transferReviewing current financial processes and recommending efficienciesAll other tasks and duties assignedWHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEDegree or diploma in business, finance, accounting,
or a related fieldA recognized qualified accounting designation (e.G.
