Job Description
As an Environmental Service Worker, your work extends beyond cleaning; you create a welcoming, safe environment where residents feel comfortable and cared for. Every task supports their dignity and quality of life.
- Washed and dried residents’ clothing and linens, ensuring items were returned fresh and in good condition.
- Disinfected and cleaned to support infection control.
- Cleaned residents’ rooms and common areas—including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and bathrooms.
- Followed WHMIS guidelines and safe handling procedures for all cleaning products.
- Helped maintain a safe environment by adhering to Health & Safety Standards.
- Worked as part of a supportive team, assisting coworkers and covering shifts as needed (days, evenings, weekends, and last‑minute call‑ins).
- Took pride in creating a comfortable, homelike environment for residents every day.

Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry (healthcare or hospitality setting an asset).
- Ability to operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment (washer, dryer, auto‑scrubber, vacuum, etc.).
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months.
- TB 2 Step updated within the last year.
