Pay or shift range: $75,000 CAD to $85,000 CAD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.Travel Required : NoDescriptionThe Cambridge Group of Clubs, CGoC, is a collection of 3 unique health and fitness clubs, serving an exclusive membership of leaders, executives and professionals in the downtown core. The Toronto Athletic Club, the Adelaide Club and the Cambridge Club comprise the CGoC and are all located within the downtown core.Purpose and ObjectiveAs a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing our Microsoft-based hybrid infrastructure. In addition to server and network administration, a portion of your role will involve desktop support — ensuring staff have the tools, troubleshooting, and assistance they need to stay productive.Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).Administer Microsoft 365 services (incl Exchange Online, SharePoint, Entra, Teams).Oversee network infrastructure including firewalls & switches.Implement and monitor security best practices across systems and endpoints.Perform regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing.Provide desktop support for end-users, including hardware/software troubleshooting, application support, and device setup & deployment.Utilize and manage Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) software — preferably NinjaRMM — for proactive system monitoring, patching,
and endpoint management.Collaborate with IT leadership to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades.Document processes, configurations, and policies for compliance and knowledge sharing.Perform and test routine system backups and restores (Veeam).Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.Qualifications / RequirementsCollege diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5 years equivalent work experience. Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Microsoft 365 Certified are an asset.Knowledge & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a Microsoft-centric environment.Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs,
firewalls).Experience providing desktop support in a professional environment.Experience with RMM software required (preferably NinjaRMM).Administer and support Endpoint & Network Security solutions — Trend Micro Vision One preferred — to safeguard systems against threats.Familiarity with endpoint management tools and cybersecurity practices.Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.Strong communication skills for supporting staff and documenting technical processes.Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Windows 11.Personal AttributesProven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment.Solid interpersonal and oral communication skills.Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required.Ability to present ideas and solutions in user‑friendly language.Highly self‑motivated and directed.Keen attention to detail.Skilled at working within a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.40+ Hours onsite.
