In this position, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of electrical projects for our clients in the building industry. This posting is for an existing vacancy within MCW.Position:Electrical Project ManagerLocation:Downtown Toronto, ONSalary Range:$90,000 - $120,000Primary Objective:The Project Manager is the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering engineering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications. To achieve these important goals, the Project Manager will define project requirements and scope, acquire project resources, and supervise the efforts of project team members. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, transparent communication of expectations to stakeholders,
and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each project's lifecycle.Responsibilities:The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:Manage and oversee Electrical engineering projects of various sizes and complexityAnalyze customer design proposals and specifications to determine cost effective solutionsEnsure professional quality services in all facets of workLead a project team to ensure technical accuracy of project deliverablesManage a team to ensure cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectationsManage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, documentation and other factors necessary for successWork with clients to deliver the end projectPrepare and review specification and concept reportsFoster new business development opportunitiesMaintain and grow current business and client relationshipsProvide mentoring to technical staff, assigning duties as requiredVisit the site once under construction every 2-3 monthsProvide quality and cost control during the design and construction processMaintain project schedules and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilizationEscalate and identify the need for additional services and feesAssist with Shop drawing reviews as requiredOvertime as requiredEducation:Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Electrical or other relevant engineering discipline is preferredOther skilled qualifications will be considered coupled with relevant experienceCompletion of a degree or diploma in project management will be considered an assetLEED accreditation is an assetExperience and Requirements:10+ years of industry related experience including 1-2 years experience in project managementLicensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or actively working toward P.Eng. designation, or a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)Strong understanding of engineering contractors,
