Responsibilities
- Operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers and excavators
- Ensuring recycled material is sorted into the appropriate piles and loaded into trailers as needed
- Performing routine inspection and maintenance on equipment
- Ensuring a safe and clean working space for all operators and employees
- Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues
What We Need From You
- 2+ years’ experience running heavy equipment
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to read,
understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
